About Us
As Purdue's first STEM Consulting Academy, the Boilermaker Consulting Group (BCG) is a multi-disciplinary team focused on learning about the consulting profession while working on real client projects.

We bring together students of all backgrounds, majors, and geographic locations to form agile and cross-functional teams that solve client problems. BCG leverages its virtual model to promote inclusion of any interested student while also providing a safe environment to work during this unprecedented time.
Our Genesis Story
Started in Summer 2020, BCG found its roots with a group of students who experienced rescinded internship offers from various companies afflicted by COVID-19. While initially focusing on supply chain, the group quickly grew in size from 15 to 40+ students and majors that ranged from Engineering to Business to Polytechnic schools. With this growth, so too did the breadth and quantity of projects able to be executed.
Within 3 months of its inception, BCG completed 3 distinct projects for esteemed clients in various industries.Currently, the group is recruiting more talent to continue growing and serving Purdue and its partner companies.
Education
As a STEM focused consulting academy, our mission relies on educating and training our members through two key methods: real-world client projects and supplemental professional development opportunities. With a designated Director of Learning & Development, our organization ensures consultants are provided multiple chances to speak with top consulting firms, industry partners, and our extensive advisory board of current and former Purdue faculty and alumni. We also host workshops relating to a variety of relevant topics such as Consulting 101, Project Management, Machine Learning Basics, Successful Leadership, and many more.
Project Engagement
Through our own research and experimentation, our Director of Project Excellence and Project Managers have developed a custom tailored approach to acquiring, executing, and delivering projects for our industry partners. With a structured approach and consistent performance reviews, we strive to ensure all projects meet our high standard of excellence.
